Bollywood’s maverick film director Vishal Bharadwaj,, best known for his penchant to adapt Shakesperean stories and plays, now trains his eyes on Ruskin Bond’s short story “Susanna’s Seven Husbands”. An interesting plot line where the heroine Susanna, an Anglo Indian, kills off her seven husbands during the course of her life – more precisely, from age 20-65. Saat Khoon Maaf movie is yet another feather in the talented Priyanka Chopra’s repertoire. After Ashutosh Gowarikar’s ‘What’s your rashee?” where she plays seven different girls very competently, here she plays in Saat Khoon Maaf film seven different ages of the same person, Susanna Anna-Marie Johannes.
